Why solid copper
Most finials don’t last.
Many store-bought finials are painted aluminum or copper-plated steel. Within a few seasons they can fade, flake and rust, and one sized wrong looks off from the street.
You put real care into your home. The piece on top should match it.
Every finial is formed by one coppersmith, Sergei Tysyachuk, in Franklin, Tennessee.
Each piece is solid copper, built to your measurements. His work crowns homes across the United States and as far as Italy, and he still answers the phone himself.

The makingEvery finial begins as solid copper sheet, shaped with layers of heat, oxidation, and hand-applied patina — never paint. Four stages, one pair of hands.
Solid sheet
It starts as flat, solid copper — measured to your roof pitch or base, marked out, and cut by hand. No castings, no blanks.
Folded & soldered
Folds, hammer work, and soldered seams give the metal its shape — octagons, spires, tapers, and custom bases.
Colored by flame
A torch draws out the reds, purples, and golds; Jax patina brings the aged greens. The color is the metal itself.
Signed by the maker
Finials ship ready to mount to your roof or cupola base. Every piece is hand-finished and signed in Franklin.

How copper takes its colorMill Bright
Raw polished copper, left to the weather. The sun ages it gracefully from new-penny rose to deep penny-brown — the finish most roof finials arrive in.

Flame-Fired
A torch drawn slowly across the metal pulls reds, purples, and golds out of the copper itself. Sergei stops the flame at the moment the color is right, then seals it.

Jax Verdigris
The aged green of historic rooftops and church spires — the same chemistry that weather takes decades to perform, brought forward with Jax patina and time.
